Hello Bridget,

You should like PAF 5, it should do everything you need. I recomend going to the Silicon Valley Users group site: http://www.svpafug.org/sys-tmpl/door/
and consider buying their booklet. It only cost 10 dollars and will start you out correctly entering your information. You don't have to do it their way, but it is nice to know the features the program does have when you are starting out. Also check out the Utah users group: http://www.uvpafug.org/
I wish I had kept a journal when I started out to record the "major" finds of information. Now I wonder when I learned something but I cannot remember. You can make one with your computer with "notepad" under the accessories. Type ".LOG" without the quote markes as the first entry on the page and then everytime you open it up it should put a time and date stamp on the entry. Good luck on your research!
