Old Paf 5 versus New

Hi, I have a query that Roy or someone as knowledgable may be able to answer. I have the early Paf5 which I'm reasonably happy with except for some of the problems that people have mentioned such as not printing citation refs etc. I wouldn't mind downloading the latest version, but want to know 2 things - if I download it, does it automatically merge with or replace the earlier version, or are there then 2 versions and will that take up a lot of room on the hard drive to have both. Please excuse my computer ignorance. Thanks
