Perhaps you may need to check your system resources. Are you running too many other programs while you are running PAF 5? Have you defragged your hard drive recently? Have you emptied your Temporary Internet Files folder recently? Have you removed .tmp files from your computer recently? Is your hard drive more than three-quarters full? All of these things can contribute to your system deciding it has had enough, and it's going on "strike!". That is, it shuts down until you decide to do some housekeeping. I have run PAF 5 without any of the problems occurring, so if you check those items above it may help your computer's performance.
