Layton, could it be that your processor is overloaded? I have had no trouble creating a list alphabetically with a data base of several thousand names. If you have a small amount of RAM, or your hard disk drive is approaching a dangerous level of being full (around the three quarter mark), it may be slowing down the ability of your computer to sort data. It could be "crowding" your swap file's ability to shuffle information about. Try shutting down ALL other running programs (CTRL-ALT-DELETE) except Explorer and Systray and then run PAF and see what it does. If it provides a list in a short space of time it will be evident you have an overloaded computer.
