Thank you for your reply.I found some more info on my John William Padley. He was the son of Joe Padley, a Blacksmith, born in Ecclesfield around 1848 and his wife Sarah, last name unknown, born around 1849.In 1881 their children are Sarah Elizabeth aged 8, Bertha aged 6, John William age 4 and Horace aged 11 months. At the time of his marriage, John was a Kitchen range fitter and two yearslater in 1900 he was a driller at Iron works.
The 1881 census lists a Charles Padleyborn in Mareham le Fen Lincolnshire, aged 45, married and living in Bradfield. His wife is Emma, 29, born in Denby Dale and their daughter is Alice, age 1 year, born in Penistone Yorkshire.
