I forgot to mention that the Newfoundland Archives mentions that John Padley may have come from Leceistershire, England in the early 1800's and was among the first settlets of Flat Islands in Placentia Bay, NFLD. He was a fisherman on Flat Islands and the occupation of frogging was mentioned in conection with Leicestershire. I can't imagine making a living catching frogs but who knows??
