brian/michael

most interested in your exchange-my name is william padian-my father was john joseph padian-he came to new york in the early 1900's from roscommon to live with his sister lizzie-he was one of 4/5 brothers and 2/3 sisters-the family lived in an area called caul scramogue which was somewhere on the outskirts of strokestown

i've never been to ireland but will get there someday-i haven't tried hard to track back beyond my grandfather who would have likely been born about 1850 give or take 20 years

i was particularly interested in your reference to the track back to france and somwhere else in these postings to armenia-the surname is amenian with the "ian" ending-is it possible to know the name of the source you referred to for this info

is there a way to start collecting this info??-presumably if the five brothers story really has some credence to it, it shouldn't be that difficult to tie up all the loose ends

thanks for any response you may care to make
