My Grandfather usually goes to the cemetary to trace the history. I googled a Padgett family tree and origins, luckily most Padgett's were trackable due to the civil war. My best guess is that they fled Northern Whales as serfs, and sought new opportunity in the states during the 1800's. A large majority landed on the east coast in MA., and NY. A from there is looks like they migrated to NC, and finally KY and IN. Present day it looks like they Padgett family tree is widely spread throughout the U.S. Rest assured it appears that the Padgett's are all related in some way shape or form. I watched Louisville during the dance and David's facial features are strikingly similar to mine.
