I have recently been working on this family. It would appear John S Paddock was a son of Jonathan Paddock. By 1817 there were at least 4 Paddocks who lived very near each other on the Mauck Port to Corydon Rd. One of those was John S Paddock. I believe by 1850 he had divorced his wife Sarah "Sally" Ewing.

John died about 1865 and was buried in Fairview Cemetery in I want to say New Albany.
