Found evidence William was in Ky as early as 1782 but was not in Mercer Co area until probably 1791/2. Even though his marriage bond for Elizabeth Windows/var was from Mercer Co I have evidence he was in Bourbon Co at the time. It was only later about 1791/2 that he removed to that county and remained until 1807 when he moved to Washington Co.
Any children's births prior to that time which indicate Mercer or that he lived in Mercer are suspect.
William definitely traveled much during his early years in Ky i.e. from Jefferson Co in 1782 to Nelson Co 1787 on to Fayette/Bourbon 1789 then Bourbon 1790 on to Mercer 1791 and finally Washington 1807. There is also a piece of evidence which indicates he was still in Jefferson about 1784-1786.
If anyone has evidence which contradicts the above please advise.
