I am trying to trace the above whose wife left him and went with Webber Samuel Seavey, (later Chief of Police Omaha)to New Zealand. Mrs. Paddock/Seavey gave her first name as Grace, she died in a flood of the Manawatu River, New Zealand in 1884 and was buried as Grace Isadore Seavey.
Seavey apparently deserted his wife in Santa Barbara at that time. He had married a Harriet Wilson in Winsconsin in 1866.
Is anyone any information on this Charles Paddock?
