Sorry louane I dont believe that I have any info re your grandfather from Amherst, although my daughter resides in nearby northampton across the river.Prelim research has led me to think that my branch descended from Robert Paddock who arrived in Plymouth in 1630 and settled in close-by Plympton.Later generations lived on Cape Cod and left for the canadian maritimes with other tories early in the revolution, not to return until the 1920's in the person of my father Clifford 1898-1983.Adino,Thomas Adino and Adino III a prominent physician in St John New Brunswick were thought to be antecedents of my grandfather George Paddock circa 1872-1927 of that city.Other branches were on the rebel side and I know of 1 who was involved in bringing captured cannon from Fort Ticonderoga to Dorchester Heights which led to the redcoat evacuation of Boston.Numerous others were known to be in Vermont and 1 was an Anglican Bishop in Middletown Conn.
