Dear Jan,

I have an excerpt from "The Paddock Family" compiled by Muriel Paddock Tyro, who I know compiled this genealogy for the purpose of DAR documentation. To Wit:

"According to a document written by A.R. Markle, grandson of Ebenezer Paddock, his grandfather ... served six months in the army of Revolution, was discharged the war being over."

I do believe the gentleman actually served in the continental army. I'll keep an eye out for anything else.
