I am gratefully blessed with a lengthy e-mail from [email protected] who sent me 3 pages of information. Wm. Paddock & Sarah Little settled in Mercer Co., KY coming from PA about 1783.One of their dau., Keziah Paddock b 15 Mar 1785 Mercer Co., KY mar. Simeon Hendrickson 25 Mar 1805 (KY mar records). They had a son Jordan, and poss a dau: This fam joined the Mormon church and are found in the Mississippi River Nauvoo, IL church records. The church records for the Baptism of the Dead and other records indicate that Keziah personally gave this information: she stated where she was b., andthat her fa. was "William Paddix" and her mo. was Sarah. In the Baptism for the Dead, she baptized the following:
William Paddoxher father
Sarah Paddock (Little) her mother
Rebecca Paddox(Hand)her Grandmother
Reuben Paddoxher Grandfather
Jonathan Paddoxher Uncle
Handher gr grandfather
Handher gr grandmother
Handher brother in law
Jordon Hendrickson (her son) gave the following:
Ebenezer Paddixthe relationship was leftblank
Reuben Paddixhis Uncle
Littlehis gr grandfather
Littlehis gr grandmother
This supports the case that this family is the same family as Rueben Paddock who m. Rebecca Hand, a family descended from the Cape Cod Paddock family which is known to have been descended from John Alden, and the Southworth family -- descendants of Edward I, King of England. His lineage is online and fairly established back to Charlemagne and before. His GEDCOM is online, and is shown back to Adam, but of course, it is mythological and questionable prior to about 400 AD. Before that, the Kings of Ireland were given "direct lineage" to Adam by the prieststo help secure their "Divine Rights." Please ask [email protected] if you can get a copy of the supporting document, as I lost my electronic (e-mail) copy and only have a hardcopy and no xerox machine. If nothing else, I'll mail a copy of my printout of the electronic copy I lost.
Michael
