I also have Padbury links in that area! I actually come down from two Padbury's who I believe were sisters. One (Alice Padbury) came from Swalcliffe and was the daughter of Thomas Padbury. Alice married into the Godson family and lived in Brailes. The other (Joyce Padbury) was (I believe) the sister to Alice and I have her being baptised 1n 1647 in Swalcliffe, also daughter to Thomas. She married a Thomas Miller at Burton Dassett in 1669. Fenny Compton and Brailes are all close by. I would love to find out where Thomas came from!
