> The last sentence of the above quotation is in error. As Richard well knows, that is but one of many errors in some published accounts of the early Packard and Perkins generations. Kingman is not bad, but Mitchell is rife with them. Some of his errors regarding the Perkins families in Bridgewater were corrected in Joseph W. Porter, "An Account of Part of the Family of Abraham Perkins of Hampton, N. H., Who Lived in Plymouth County, Mass." (NEHGR, 50 [1896]:34-40). I have incorporated some of those Perkins corrections as notes in the online transcription of Mitchell.
