Hello, I've been trying to trace the origins of a Pacheco family in Boston in the same time period, and it's not easy for a hobby-genealogist.I'm doing this for my friend. His grandfather was Anthony Pacheco and he was in Cambridge in the very late 1800's also.We don't know whether he came from Portugal or the Azores. But, once in Greater Boston, he met and married Elsie Moura.Elsie had been in St. Michael's, and came over as a pre-teen to be an indentured servant. When she had saved the money, she arranged for her two sisters and a brother to come over. The three sisters, while married, all lived in Cambridge, MA.I think the brother moved to NY after he married...Anthony Pacheco was killed in a train accident around 1925, his grandchildren do not yet know whether he had family in this area....There was a Manny Pacheco in Cambridge at the same time, but the grandchildren don't believe he was related to Anthony Pacheco. ....By the way, the end of last year I put "Pacheco Family" into a www-search, and I found a web site.I wrote to the man who created it, and he was quite informed on the Pacheco family.
