It seems likely from the records and websites quoted below that this Thomas Pace was a son of Nathaniel Pace and Mildred Boykin. Nathaniel Pace was a son of Thomas Pace (d. 1766 Northampton Co NC), who was a son of Richard Pace (m. Rebecca _______________, d. 1738 Bertie Co NC)

Personally came before me Thomas Pace one of the Justices of the Inferior Court of said County, Baldwin Fluker Esq'r and William Lynum and saith on Oath that Reuben Wilkerson Late of the County aforesaid and wife with two of his Negroes were Massacred by the Indians and all his House &c with all his papers was burnt up at the same time which was about the year Seventeen Hundred and Ninety five or Six (who from general report the said Wilkerson bore the Commission of Cap't in the Revolutionary Service of the United States) and the deponants further saith that Rueben Wilkerson Left two
Heirs a Son & Daughter vis't: Nathaniel Green Wilkerson and Lucy Wilkerson now Lucy Hill which are the true & Lawfull Heirs of the said Wilkerson Dec'd. Sworn to and Subscribed to before me 20th of July 1819
