Many thanks for the detailed info. I think the bottom referred to is "Cooper's Bottom". I am still trying to locate Baker's plantation which I thought was near New Hope Plantation, but the reference to the Great Swamp throws a wrench in that theory.

Thanks again, I owe you one and maybe I can give you a new source if you don't already know about it. Bess Richardson the lady in charge at the Surry Co., VA, Historical Sociey has a topo map that has the boundaries drawn on it of various grants made of land in Prince George Co., VA. There is at least one that has been plotted for George Pace for land granted in 1687 when PG was still CCC. The land is bounded by Wm. Gray, Thomas and John Weeks and Robt. Lucy. For a fee she can copy things off her computer and send out to you if you need it. There is another parcel near the mouth of Powell's creek that I don't have the detail on and I'm not sure if that parcel has been plotted.
