My grandfather was an Iceman too. I think a lot of men who came here from Bari, Italy were Icemen.

Did your family come from Bari...Toritto Bari in particular?

Do you know the names of your grandfather's parents or siblings? My GG grandmother was Maria Paccione married to Vito Rocco Macchia. My greatgrandfather was their son. I know that his daughter, my grandmother, had an Uncle Arcangelo but I'm not sure if he was a Paccione or a Macchia. I also know that there was a cousin (I believe he was a first cousin to my G grandfather and that he was my GG grandmother's nephew) Michele Paccione who came to the US and settled in the NY City area.

We also think that my G grandfather had a brother Angelo or Arcangelo Macchia so I wonder if he was named after Maria Paccione's father. Was your Arcangelo named after someone in the Paccione family?

Does any of this sound familiar to you?
