Ed, How did you find info on Jacob Marx, 1780 in Paradise Twp?
I have spent days trying to put all the families together. I have some of them that I am reasonably certain of, but unfortunately I haven't yet tied them to my family. Do you know where Leschy's place is? There is a Mr. Marks born abt. 1759 buried there. I have info saying Jacob Marks b. 1724 d. 1788 was m. to Sybilla (several spellings) b. 1728 d. 1819. Also see his name listed as John of Paradise Twp. They had Peter, John or Peter John or John Peter, it is not clear on will, Magdalena, Barbara, Mary Elizabeth, Margaret and Catrina. In 1800 Census, Sybilla and John lived next to each other. There is a Peter Marx m. to Anna Fischel and their son, Jacob b. 1783. Could this Peter belong to above Jacob (or John) who is married to Sybilla? The sponsors of young Jacob were Jacob Marx and wife. I am not sure how to prove all of this. I have way too many Jacobs and Johns in York!!
