I found an Ohio Supreme Court case dated 1852 that lists Jane Purkeypile as the wife of Andrew. It also states that Jane died in 1849. NOTE: many people with a common family tree going back to Andrew have been incorrectly using 1831 as Jane's year of death. Please change your records to 1849 in Galion, Ohio.

the document also lists the plaintiffs and heirs, including Jacob Purkeypile, Margaret Purkeypile Smith, Elizabeth Purkeypile Dorcas, Ann Purkeypile Snyder, Mary Purkeypile Lieb among others.
This supports my suspicions that Andrew was the father of Jacob. I think that Jesse Purkeypile might also be one of Jacob's siblings, but have no proof at this time. If anyone can definitively link Jesse to Andrew, then please send me your documentation.
I also have a copy of a Grantor Deed in which Andrew and "wife Jane" sell their land in Hopewell Twp to Jacob Perkepile of Lancaster County. This confirms that Jane is Andrew's wife.
Finally, I found Andrew in the 1790 US Census in Hopewell Twp in York Co. Another Andrew Purkeypile lives in Windsor Twp in York Co. This is probably the Andrew that died in 1818 and is buried in Sadler's Lutheran Church in Stewartsville, York, PA
I would be willing to share documents with others searching this family.
