I once thought this Samuel Drake was married to Carrie M. Wandall, daughter of Francis/Frank Wandall and Mary Jane Depew. On the 1900 census, Samuel J. Drake is listed at home with parents and Carrie is listed as a servant in another home, but then there is a Samuel J. Drake married to a Carrie in Mercer Co. Sometimes people who are married in a census year are listed both as single at home and later as a married couple. However, I realized that this Samuel was the same person listed on the 1910 census in Mercer Co. but now married to Elizabeth since about 1904 with daughters Faith and Ester. They are living with his parents who are not the same parents as the Mehoopany Samuel Drake. I guess itís possible that the Mercer Co. Drake married a Carrie Wandall, but the census looks like this is a different Drake family.
