I am descended from Stephen Dymond who married a woman named Montanya(Mantawya) in Wyoming Co., Pa.. Their Daughter Eliza Ann b.10/09/1821 married Jonathan Newman b. 07/09/1814. Stephen at some point moved to Cohoctah, Mi. where he later asked Eliza and her husband to come to care for him, they were given the family farm upon his death. He is buried in Boutell Cemetary in Cohoctah, Livingston Co., Mi.. Stephen claimed that his father was Dutch, and that he was also part PA. Indian, which is possible. His wife was of Spanish blood, but have no idea where or when she died.Eliza and Jonathan had 10 children, 7 born in Pa., and 3 born in Mi.,Their son Levi was my ggrandfather, his son James my gfather, his daughter Caroline my mother. Do you have much on the family? Please contact me at shirleydexter@hotmail.com
