Elizabeth "Betsy" Anderson was the daughter of Thomas and Sarah Anderson of South Huntington Twp Westmoreland Co. She was born in 1809. Her father died between 1810 and 1815. Her mother died in 1815 a widow. Sarah's will is in Book 1 page 375 made 24 june 1815. Family lore says she being age 7 at her mothers death she was sent to live with a local doctor where she learned to treat wounds deliver babies etc. About 1829 she married Alexander Carnahan and they lived in Butler Co. Would like to find who the doctor was that raised her since census info on her woukd not be recorded until 1850. Would like any info Thomas and Sarah's maiden also if available.
