I would suggest that the Sewickley Settlement may refer to the Quaker settlement in Sewickley Township. I have no connection with your Reed or Keim families, but I do have descendents from the Quaker Settlement in Sewickley. There is a Sewickley Creek as well. I can't guarantee you will find your particular family, but there is a book which can be obtained on loan through your local library. It is William Boyd Duff's "The Forefathers and Families of Certain Settlers in Western Pennsylvania."

You might also contact the Westmoreland County Historical Society, 41 West Otterman Street, Greensburg, PA 15601; telephone 724-836-1800. They may be able to give you some direction.
