Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

The only birth records in Pennsylvania before 1893 and except for a brief period around 1852-1855 are usually in church records, family bibles and sometimes there are references to births in county court records (the latter is exceedingly rare). Church records are by far where you'll most likely find a record of birth especially for that time period.

Check with the Wayne County Historical Society to see if they can help you. The Minisink Valley Historical Society in Port Jervis, NY may be able to help you too. They cover parts of Wayne County.
