I, too, am in a bit of a quandry about the Roberts of Wayne County. I have a Samuel Roberts b abt 1790 - 1799 in Preston Township, Wayne County. In the 1790 census there is a Daniel Roberts in Luzerne County. I am thinking there may be a link but I have yet to find it. Do you have any more information - where he was born, the town he reside in, the children, the wife? Any of these may be a clue. Samuel's son, Charles, b 1833, is my relative.
