Church records for Protestant church in Lake Como, 1870's to 1880's?

Have found a listing in the Wayne County discussion list that at least the first two children(twins) of William and Rosetta Brown were baptized at the church in Lake Como (no denomination listed, betting either Presbyterian or Methodist, possibly Lutheran) in 1879. It also appears that three of William Brown's siblings were married in this church--Rebecca to W. (H. or J.) Gilchrist (1874); John to Sarah Jane Gilchrist (1874); and Sarah to Silvanus Menhennett (1874).

Can anyone point me toward any online sources for records from such a church? Or any titles of books to search for through interlibrary loan (I am in Charlotte, NC, so can't exactly get up there very easily)?

Any leads would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Karen Dutton
