Newfoundland 1860

Found a very strange 1860 census listing for my WORTMAN family in Wayne Co., Sterling Twp., Newfoundland.

This WORTMAN family were tenement dwellers in 1850s New York City (within a few blocks of Five Points, The Gangs of New York location and era). Then in 1870, they were back in NY (Brooklyn) living in a tenement apartment and working as store clerks.

However, the 1860 PA census shows them living in the Newfoundland area and having a real estate/personal estate worth of $5,000!!!! Trying to find out what this family owned in Newfoundland (what were they up to). Any ideas on how to locate any 1860 Newfoundland information?

1860 PA, Wayne Co., Newfoundland P.O., listing:
WORTMAN, Henry, merchant, $2,000 personal estate
Hester, wife
John H., son, merchant, $2,000 real estate & $1,000 personal estate
Henry, son
Robert, son
Salina, daughter
