Sheffield Catholic Churches

Hi,

I recently came across an old map of Sheffield from 1895. The map shows a Catholic church a few block up from what is now South Main Street (it was near the intersection of Church and School Street). Does anyone know anything about this church? I had talked to a local historian and it never came up in our conversation.

I had visited Sheffield before though never knew there was a church in this particular location, and so did not visit. I guess there might be a cemetery nearby for it as well.

Any help would be appreciated. Does anyone live near Sheffield or drive through there on occasion so as to perhaps just to see what is there now. If you email me I can point you towards the online map.

Thanks,
John
