I don't have anything on this Bubb, but that surname was found very early in Northumberland County which broke up into Union/Snyder. I would definitely check with the Northumberland County Historical Society and Court House in Sunbury, PA. Same for the Union and Snyder County Historical Society and Court Houses...see the great burial records for Snyder County, PA...all on line. Post query on Northumberland Co. Roots Web?? There was a Michael Bobb will dated 1845 for Northumberland Co., PA...may be John's father and he could be named in the will. There should be other wills on that surname. Also, several early Long families in Northumberland, will for Joseph 1800, Eve in 1847, Peter in 1803.

A John B. Bubb b. 04Nov1809; d. 22Apr1867 is buried at Hassinger's, Franklin Township. His father and grandfather are probably buried there...father may have been Peter Bobb b. 16Aug1781; d. 17Apr1848, and his father John Conrad Bobb/Bubb b. 05Feb1740; d. Feb1809.
