Old Denius Restaurant, Mifflinburg
Posted by: William Denius (ID *****1016) Date: February 03, 2003 at 16:23:49

I'm looking for information on the old Denius Restaurant in Mifflinburg. I'm not sure what the building is used for at the moment, but it is next door to the Mifflinburg Hotel/Motel.

My grandfather's brother Roy Denius and his wife Mary Keister Denius owned the restauraunt prior to World War II. They lived on the floor above the restaurant. I'm not sure if it had another name, but I was told that most people in Mifflinburg knew it as the Denius Restaurant and that it was a fairly popular place. Mary was a good cook, so I have heard.

I would be greatly interested in any information anyone could provide relating to this restaurant or Roy and Mary Denius.

Thanks- William Denius
