Micheal and Angeline DINGIS, Mifflinburg
Posted by: William Denius (ID *****1016) Date: February 01, 2003 at 15:15:39

I'm looking for information on my great-great grandparents, Micheal and Angeline Dingis (or DENIUS). In the 1880 census, they are listed as living in Limestone Township. The owned a large farm just north of Mifflinburg. Micheal was born in 1839, Angeline a few years later in 1945. They had two sons: George Franklin (my great-grandfather) and Samuel Franklin. I tend to believe that Micheal was a farmer, but I've also heard that some members of this family were buggymakers.

Any information on Angeline's maiden name, Micheal or Angeline's parents, origins, really any information at all would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

-William Denius
