"William Petticrew Buried Yesterday"

William N. Petticrew, 64, of R.D. 1 Tioga died on Sunday, October 3rd, 1976 in the Arnot-Ogden Hospital, Elmira, N.Y.

Calling hours were held at the Kuhl Funeral Home in Mansfield Tuesday afternoon and evening. Funeral services were conducted there Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock, with the Rev. Edward Trask officiating. Burial was made in Farmington Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Petticrew was an active Grange officer and prominent figure in Farmington Township. He was a member of Farmington Hill Grange No. 841 and past master of the Pomona Grange for six years and was director of the Grange Insurance Co. He was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church of Tioga, president of the trustees of Farmington Hill Cemetery Association, former Farmington Township tax collector, and was a retired Farmington Hill farmer. He was born January 4, 1912 in Farmington Township, the son of William R. and Mae (Brown) Petticrew.

Surviving are his wife Harriet Loveless Petticrew; one son, Richard W. of Trumbull, Conn.; one daughter, Mrs. Norman (Ann) Butler of Tioga, R.D. 1; one foster-son, Martin Cleary of Syracuse, N.Y.; two sisters, Mrs. Cecile Crants of Corning, N.Y. and Mrs. Elizabeth Campbell of Elmira; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
