Seeking information any, here is what I have.
1880 census Elkland twp, Tioga co PA
George Dickson age 23 b- NY
wife Mary, age 21 b- PA * she was Mary Mason
daug Ella age 1 month b- PA* aka Nellie, Helen
George Dickson was living with his step-fa JOhn Barber and mother Eliza in Wellsboro , prior to leaving to marry his wife Mary Mason. I searched the tax records in Wellsboro, and George left Wellsboro about 1878.
JOhn Barber, wife Eliza, and son George were on 1870 census in steuben co, Corning, NY; must have left for Wellsboro abt 1872. John Barber and son George are mentioned in the history of the Fallbrook RR. George Dixon was fireman, and John Barber engineer .
I suspect George Dickson married Mary Mason in Elkland as their first daug. was b- only 1 mo on the 1880 census.
Is there a marriage record for them in Elkland?
I am seeking parents of Mary Mason.
Any help or suggestions very much appreciated. Thank you, Dotty
