I see you have a relative named William Doney. Just a few months ago I discovered that my great, great grandmother, Sophia Doney (her maiden name) had a brother William. Sophia was born in 1850 in Plattsburgh, Clinton Co., NY. Her parents were Seymour and Josephine Doney. Sophia and her family came to Williamsport, Lycoming Co., PA in about 1866.

Sophia married Joseph Mosso/Mousseau in about 1867 at a Catholic church in Williamsport, PA, and together they had six children. One of those children was William Filbert Mosso who as an adult settled in Wellsboro, Tioga Co., PA, and raised a large family there. I have often wondered if William had relatives living in Wellsboro and that's why he went there.

I don't know if the info I've given you will help in any way, but never say never.

By the way, I haven't learned yet where Sophia's brother William lived out his life. She spent most of hers in Williamsport, PA, and is buried in the St. Boniface Cemetery there.

Good luck in your search!
