Thanks for replying! I can only find one Thomas English married to a Sexton in Silver Lake. That Sexton was Ellen Sexton, the daughter of Nicholas Sexton. Thomas and Ellen were married about 1835, but I don't think it was in Silver Lake. According to the 1850 census, their first child, John, was born in Ireland in 1838, and their second child, Catherine, was born in Pennsylvania (presumably Silver Lake) in 1839. I did find a record of Thomas immigrating to America in 1839, which does make sense according to the birth years of his first two children. Thomas was born in 1810 in Ireland. The only record I can find of a Thomas English born in Ireland in 1810, was in Dublin to a James English and his wife Ann. If this is the same family (which it appears to be), then Ann's maiden name would be Mahar, and she would be the sister to your Thomas Mahar. Thomas English dies in Silver Lake in June 1860 according to U.S. Census Mortality Schedules. This is very interesting to me, as I am still researching Thomas English and his ancestors. I believe you may have provided me with another link to my research with the maiden name of Thomas' mother. As for burial places for the English's, I have no idea at this point. I have searched all the cemetery records I can find for Silver Lake, and I still cannot find where Thomas was buried. I do know that after his death, his wife Ellen and their children (those still at home) moved to Pittston, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. Thomas may have been taken there to be buried (although I doubt it). If I come across anything that may be of interest to you, I will post it here. Thanks again, and good luck.
