Is South Gibson the same as Smiley?

Is the area now known as South Gibson (as in the South Gibson Cemetery) the same as the area once known as Smiley? I have some relatives (John Denny and Esther Corbett Denny) who are listed in one history as living in Smiley, and are buried in the South Gibson cemetery.
