Hazen's Grist Mill... From my notes in Edition 1 of Book 2... No copyright, use as you wish... The Hazen grist mill was located south of Sonestown along the Muncy Creek in Davidson Twp. It was a very well known Flour mill among residents of all surrounding townships. The owner John F. "Honse" Hazen built the place in 1850; and continued to own it until 1900. At this time Mr. Armstrong and William Taylor of Davidson Twp bought the place. They installed new and modern machinery and operated the mill until about 1912. It stood abandoned until the place was razed in 1950. Of an unknown number of grist mills in the county (more than 50 from 1840 to 1930); this was a more prominent of the lot. Hope this helps...
