Somerset Herald, March 17, 1886:
Mrs. Isaih Brant, of Youngstown, Ohio, died last Sunday, March 7, 1886 of thyphoid malaria. Her remains were brought to this place, Brothersvalley Twp. and buried in the cemetery on her father's farm, John J. BLough. Mrs. Brant was a bride of but three years and at the time of her death she was but 21 years of age. She was a consistant member of the Disciple Church and her home pastor, C.S. Long, accompanied her remains to this place and preached a very impressive funeral service in the Grove Church near Berlin, which was very highly spoken of by all who heard him.
