David Phillippi Sr. on the 27th. ult 1858 died in Centerville Borough, aged 85 yrs. 2 mos. The deceased was for many years an exemplary member of the German Reformed Church and a good citizen and respected by all who knew him. On the 28th. his remains were interred in the grave yard of the above named place. A funeral sermon preached by the writer from Rev.14: 13, Blessed are the dead. John Tomlinson. Somerset Herald
