Carol: Most of my info comes from a hugh website on the Northern US Estes Family tree. I do not see Lincoln Estes but see Linn Estes b. before 1870 in Oswayo, Potter County PA. His father was Lorenzo Dow Estes (1828-1903)Who was in the Civil War. He is married to Sarah J. Earl in 1851. His brother is DWD Estes (Delmar Wiliam Dow Estes) born 1853-1906 m. to Mary Frances Martin (1854-1915). They both died in Oswayo, Potter County. My decsendant was their child William Lorenzo Estes. I do not have a lot on him except that he died in Coudersport, PA. in 1947. I think he was married several times & I'm not certain he was ever officially married to my gggrandmother Emily A. Moses. They had Iva Frances 1892 in Oswayo, PA & Delmar b. in Shinglehouse, PA. My Lorenzo Dow appears to be much older. Now I am wondering if yours may be mine: William Lorenzo Estes ?? He had a sister Lillian & brother Harold Dow Estes. All came from NY to Potters Co., PA. I do think that Ahimaaz (1799-1883) from NY is the first Lorenzo Dows'(no date) father. Elijah Esetes (R. I.) was Ahimaaz father. I got all of this from census, cemetaries & the website: xenon.triode.net.au/~dragon/ft/estes-us.txt. If you think we are related or you have anymore info please write.
