I am the great great granddaughter of Rufus T. Claflin through his son Fremont. I would be thrilled to correspond with you as I have a number of facts about the family and also can give you more information about them. (Rufus is buried with Fremont's family in Fremont, NE - died there in 1893 after living there for a number of years. Family records that I have show Jason as the name the sone that you have as James so ? on him.) I would also very much like to know more about the letters that you have - would you be willing to either copy them or sell them? Thanks!
