I have just spoken with Lori at the Pike County Historical Society. She is checking their archives and will let me know what materials are available for your search.

Pike Co. Hist. Society in Milford, PA

You should know that Pike County was not formed until 1814. In 1789 it was still part of Northampton County. Between 1798 and 1814 it was Wayne County. Legal records of the time (which do not include birth or death records) are in those counties for those time periods. [per ANN O'Hara papikeco mailing list arcihves] before 1798 all records would be in Northampton County for all of these counties.

Another site that may help you, with large archives, is the "Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission" {I don't have that url handy but you can search). J
