Dear Doug - I have just spoken with Sue at the Nat'l Park Serv in Bushkill Falls. I will meet with her tomorrow to examine the volumes she has. At that time I will decide if and how to publish the materials. She tells me they are a report composed by the Army Corp. of Engineers, 2 binders, prepared when they were planning to flood the area where the cemeteries (about 200!) are located in order to build the Tock Island Damn, but the project was scrapped. The reports are not available through the government printing office, but there is a copy of the report at the Eastern (or Easton) Monroe Public Library [don't know where that is at this writing]. If we cannot find someone to scan them into a computer for us, then I will transcribe the listings, one cemetery at a time.
When I meet with her tomorrow, I will look for your Ladley (ladlee) family gravesites, although she has scanned them quickly and found nothing. Thanks for alerting the list about this most valuable, unpublished material. Sue also said that the Corp. also prepared the same kind of large report for Western N.J. (I guess the areas along the Delaware near Tocks Island).
I will get back to you. J
