You can try the Pike County Historical Society in Milford, Tel. (570) 296-8126. They have someone who handles their genealogy matters. However, wait 7-10 days before calling as he just came down with the flu. You might also try phoning Mim Carpenter, Tel. (570) 293-7297. She's associated with the Dingman's Ferry Histor. Soc. just down the road from Milford. She has good in-home reference material for the area and does spend time researching in the Pike Cty H.S. Sorry about encouraging phone bills but it seems people in Pike Cty aren't big on computers, e-mail and the like. They know their family names, though.
