Hi Joanne,

My e-mail address is: raymond.coon at comcast.net I would greatly appreciate anything you care to share. If there is anything I can provide you, please let me know. Unfortunatly, I don't have a thing before 1804 in Ohio.

Unfortunatly, I don't think there is a way to convert results from AncestryDNA to FamilyTreeDNA. I don't think they test the same markers. I could be wrong about that. A match between your Coontz and my Koontz/Coon line, before Ohio, would open up a lot of possibilities. In better days I would have considered maybe splitting the cost of your test with FTDNA if you wanted to. That may have to wait. :-(

The possible connection between my Koontz/Coon's and your Darst line is intriguing. The fact that they were next-door neighbors in Ohio and both moved to Darke Co. at about the same time, has to be more than co-incidence. I haven't done all of the research that I could on the Thomas Coon line since I'm waiting for the last of the DNA results to tell me if this is the right Samuel. I'll be sure to pay particular attention to Darst's as I go along when I get started.
