Thank you for your message. You're collecting as many Coons/Coonts/Coontz variations as I am! Did you look at Madison Co., Union Township. In 1830 are Jacob Coon Sr., Henry Coon, and Jacob Coon, Jr. Also note Perry Township, Richland Co. Ohio for Jacob Coon and John Coon. After Jefferson Co. VA (WVA) and Fairfield Co. OH, my husband's ancestors were in Pickaway Co. OH and MO initially. Tracing Jacobs, however their last names were spelled, is a huge task. I have a library of Jacobs. You can't imagine how many Jacobs are credited with the same service in the Revolution or how many people connect with the same Coons immigrant. I'm pursuing the Darst family, to obtain clues on the Coons/Coontz family. Will send you initial pages of Coontz family history I'm working on if I receive your address. Paid for Coontz DNA through Ancestry.com, but they have not been helpful in my receiving the results through the Internet. I'm only able to get the introductory page -not the results - that is all! Joanne Coontz
