Oh wow, thanks.

My relative is John Hess, b. 9 Mar 1835 in Klein-umstadt, Darmstadt, Hesse, Germany. He lived in Shohola after coming over in 1854 (at least that is what he told the census takers and put on his grave) and he is present in the 1860 Shohola census. I am trying to find a document listing his parents and, if possible, his siblings, though I do believe Nicholas may be a brother. If and when I do find such a document that list my John as the son of Ellen and Conrad (which I do believe is correct) then I'll have a wealth of information on Nicholas. :)
